Has anyone considering testing for php5 support to ensure that the source code is compatible? Considering the impending released of php5 Stable I think that your going to face quite a few problems if phpCollab is not thoroughly tested now to ensure that the existing code will operate.
Currently SquirrelMail will not work with php5 along with a number of other open source projects which are working towards compatability at the moment.

Andrew,
I have a feeling phpC 2.5 will most likely only be supported on php4. Hopefully v3, will support PHP5. I'm not a developer of phpC so I'm not sure what their plans are, but to me it would just make sense to finalize v2.5 first then worry about compatibility with PHP5 in the v3 implementation.
Just my thoughts.

The thing I am worried about is what happen when these web hosting companies start migrating to php5 roughly 2 weeks after the stable release comes out? What will happen to the phpC community at that point if the project is not compatible?
Users are going to be utilising phpC within their work environments for project completion... what happens when it stops working? Do we all pack up and move to another product?

i'll repeat here one time for all, We need new developers BUT only REAL interested people who want to work (and know a little of php).
Actually I've managed quite 100 requests for join but I've only two real active members...
I'll give a title (developer, moderator, etc) to someone ONLY when I'll receive at least a patch from the bugtracker (if he/she want to be a developer) or I'll see and active role in the forum (if he/she want to be a simple moderator)
ps the join form is here:

Hello,
My name is Karim. I'am French, i live in Lyon. I'am 25 years old and i work for a IT company.
I really like to help you. I think your sofware is cool. I like it.
6 month ego, my company needed to find a software for IT project and team management, they ask some of us to find something.
After a google search i shosed phpCollab. I tried it, and i modified it for my compagny needs.
I was interrest by this project :
1 - I am a Linux defender and my compagny is a microsoft partner, so that was a good way to show them what open source is able to do.
2 - A do no more developpement a this time. That was a interesting way for me to devote myself to my passion.
Finaly, my compagny prefered to modifie a software which was used. So now, as i do no more work on my version and i have some freetime to help you.
PS : If you did not undersand something in my message, don't worry That's just because i'am French and my English need to be improved !
If we can speak in french by mail, it will be easier for me to explain why a would like to participate and what can i do.
Thank you.
Karim.

Karim,
Thanks for you rinterest in joining the team. As Fullo mentioned in the post above yours, if someone would like to become a developer ont he project, the best way to do that is to fill out the Join Us, http://www.php-collab.org/blog/index.php/joinus/, form and also to work on a few bugs to show that you are eally interested in joining the team.
For a list of submitted bugs, go here: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=46510&atid=4463 82
Once you have read thru some of the bugs and if you fix any of them, post the fix and the modified files back into the Modifications forum and put [BUG] fixed - SF# <bug number> as the subject. Obviously replace <bug number> witht he actual bug number from SourceForge.net
Feel free to post back here or contact myself or Fullo if you have any questions.
