Dear PhPCollab community:

In order to release the next version, 2.5, and move on to 3.0, PhPCollab needs a strong team of committed volunteers developers. I (latristesse) have assumed the role of Project Manager while devels and fullo will continue as the lead developers and diyoha will manage testing. PLease volunteer using the following form:
http://www.php-collab.com/development/join.htm

You can also sign up to help with support, bugs, documentation, or feature requests. Tasks will be assigned but official developer status will not be accorded until the work is complete.

I can be in charge of converting the code to pure xhtml/css2 and take out the nasty tables... to give more flexibility for the design (all the design in one css) and facilitate the futur programmation.

If the group are interested...

Hello phpcollab-community,

when I read the forums, I see that there are lot of useful features that will be implemented in 3.0, but I don't find a road map describing those things.

Is it possible to make a wish-list and a to-do-list of the features so it will be easier for today's bystanders (that I am a part of) to understand what direction phpcollab will go with current developers?

If such a list is presented, it will be a lot easier for me to see how much I can contribute with.

All the best,

Erich N

Excellent point Erich,

I've been meaning to scour the forums and capture all the feature requests and roadmap discussions to create a coherent document - as you suggest. I just haven't had time... arrgghhh! heheheh.

Great minds think alike...

I think this would be a very useful thing to do once Michelle (Latristesse) establishes the wiki. A wiki page might be a simple way to let interested community members capture these things in some sort of structure - and have feedback from the developers. Or not - maybe some other vehicle.

Good idea.

actually we need a lot of developer

you can take ownership of invoice module it need yet a revision (I'm not pretty good on invoice things) and the export to PDF instead to HTML.

or alternately you can review the actual notification and add it where needed

if you know a lot of css you can also help me in the site development...
I've some issue with IE 6.0! Sad

we have removed any phpNuke, postNuke and Xoops integration from phpC.
It's not our mission or our will to integrate with other cms.

if you search in the forum "postnuke" there is a post on a interface class between the 2 product.

our goals now is to finish the 2.5 and completely bugfix nothing more.

OKay sorry, we're still developing the site and everytime we update the pages we forget to update the permissions. You should be able to fill it out now and submit it without any problems.

Hey,

I was wondering if the "Join Us" page was still working for those want to help work on phpC.

What steps do you have to go through to join the team?

Best Regards,
Chris

Yes it still works. I'm sorry we haven't been very responsive lately but I have actually been writing and producing a musical for the last few month and have had no extra time for phpC.

No problem.

You must be busy, I knew I guy who was producing a musical. He was always running around or on his cell trying to get everything going. I can't imagine writing it as well.

I want to help phpC continue growing and get to 2.5. When you get a chance, let me know how I can help or if you want me to hold tight for a bit.

Best Regards,
Chris
