There's a message stating the following on my config page in phpCollab:

An update is available! You are currently using version 2.5. The latest version is 2.5b3.
See project page on Sourceforge.

I've installed version 2.5-rc3. Is there another update? If so, I'm not able to find it. I'm having an issue with email notifications and I'm wondering if the update would fix it...

Thanks!

I don't have an answer to your specific question, but I do have a question you might be able to answer.

When you upgraded your version to the latest, was there anything you needed to do to preserve information already loaded into the application, such as Projects, tasks, users, etc.?

Regards,
Russell Cox

I exported the little amount of data I had in my previous version (2.4) from the Administration section, backup and restore database option..... I was able to modify the data in MS Excel and import it in to the new database for my current version.

Not to change the subject, but if someone can tell me whether or not I'm on the latest version or not, I would appreciate it...

Thanks

What did you have to modify in Excel to be able to import it to the new version?

I don't remember exactly. I ran a backup of data from my old version and new version, and I made a side-by-side comparision of the two files and formatted the old data file with the new format types and then imported to v 2.5. Some of the database table names had changed.

It took a little time to do, but was worth it....

I've just found out that the notice that is displayed about the new update is a known bug that the development team is aware of. This topic can be locked..

Thanks to all that helped and responded....
