Anyone making progress on a Client Manual yet? I know that Latristesse made reference to getting started in a post on 19 Sep 03. I would like to help.
1. Has work started - i.e., is there a Table of Contents or even some content in existence somewhere?
2. If not, would there be any objections to my taking a crack at it?
3. I'm not into XML/Docbook etc., prefering to focus on the information itself - I can draft using simple HTML and would follow the same theme/format as the Project Team Manual if that's ok.
4. If ok, where should I post (I would expect to have something within the week)?
I've been away from the community for a while. I attempted to help with documentation until CEAM dropped out and the project fell into limbo. Glad to see it being revived. As I've said, I'm not all that interested in how many arcane formats the documentation comes in - more with the quality of the content itself. I'm not a technical writer - I'm an engineer and project manager but my English is not tooo bad. If I'm stepping into something that someone else has going, apologies in advance - just trying to help out. I'll start assuming a green light - but feel free, anyone, to chime in.

Air4ce -
I have started on the client manual but I have been so busy with trying to crank out a plan for PhPCollab that I have not had a chance to devote more time to the manual. If you are going to help with the docs, I would really appreciate putting it into docbook first, because we auto-generate all the other formats from docbook (and translating from html to docbook turned out to be a huge pain in the ass). Here is a link to a great free client for writing docbook:
http://www.xmlmind.com/xmleditor/
I have a table of contents for the team manual as well as a few pages. If you want to follow the same format that I used with the team manual, I would appreciate any help. I will post the TOC and what still needs to be done shortly.
If you are totally opposed to docbook, that's okay. Just put your content in a text file. Please understand that we may change, supplement, or not use some or all of your content in the final manual and that the manual (including your content) will be released under the GNU free documentation license, with an attribution to you for any content you submitted that is used.

This is all contained in the team manual because a project manager, not client, attaches the client user to the team. Log in as the project manager of that project, edit the project, and under the drop-down titled "Client Organization" select the client company's name. Then, after you have created the project site, click on the project site "Details" link (in the project profile) and add the client user to permitted client users. Make sure that the client user is published.
Also, this is not the appropriate topic or forum to ask this question - for similar questions, see the support forum.
